Conejo Community Thanksgiving 2020
Each Thanksgiving, we source ingredient and monetary donations from the community in order to provide local families with the full ingredients to cook a complete meal for their families, in their own home.
For many families, the cost of a Thanksgiving meal can be detrimental to their family planning and grocery budgets. We created this event to help alleviate the stress of this cost for those families who would otherwise not be able to enjoy a more extravagant meal. This year — our sixth annual Thanksgiving — our event is going to look a little bit different. As a result of COVID-19, in order to respect health and safety guidelines and limit large groups of volunteers, CCO is partnering with a local restaurant who will be making pre-made Family-style Thanksgiving meals for the families supported through our event this year. |
Did you know that a $50 donation allows us to provide one family with a meal?
What's in the meal?
We understand the importance of spending this day with your families and being able to share a meal together. We will be partnering with local restaurant, Country Harvest, in Newbury Park, for our sixth annual Conejo Community Thanksgiving.
These pre-cooked meals (which serve 5-6) will include:

How Can I Help?
In years past, our Thanksgiving event is generally our largest volunteer opportunity — and we love that aspect of this event, and joining together with so many in our community. As a result of COVID-19, this year, we will not be able to structure the event in such a way to make volunteering possible, while still adhering to social distancing guidelines and safety measures.
