Our Story
Founded in 2015 by five Conejo Valley-based women, Conejo Community Outreach (CCO) — a 100% volunteer-run IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) supports families in the community by connecting local generosity to local need.
In addition to its flagship and annual Community Thanksgiving event, CCO's primary year-round resource is its Community Diaper Bank, which launched in 2018. The diaper bank averages providing nearly 19,000 diapers (plus wipes) per month in supplemental packages for families in Conejo Valley and Ventura County. CCO partners with and supports families through CVUSD, Safe Passage Youth Foundation, Adelante Conejo Comunidad, Friends of Fieldworkers, CASA, First Five and more.
CCO's board members include Conejo Valley influencers, board members of the Chamber, business professionals, 40 Under Forty recipients, business owners, and parent leaders.

About the Board
Jess Weihe, Vice President
Jess is a Conejo Valley resident — born and raised. She currently resides in Newbury Park with her family. Outside of her role with CCO, she works as the director of marketing for Mustang Marketing and also has a community blog. In her free time she enjoys budgeting (no seriously), hanging out with her two kiddos, and participating in community activism. She has been recognized by the Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce as a 40 Under Forty recipient (2018) and by Ventura County Professional Women's Network as a "Warrior Woman" award recipient. She recently completed the Ventura County Leadership Academy (Cohort XXVI) and meets annually for Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin's (AD-44) Women's Advisory Council. |
Rena Lane Robles, Secretary
Rena is an experienced biotech industry business intelligence leader who is currently on hiatus to spend more time with her two youngsters and her family. And with two active little boys, she's always up to something! In addition to helping CCO keep on track with meeting minutes and bylaws, Rena's optimistic attitude is perfect for the diaper bank, as she helps put together orders weekly, and always does it with a smile on her face. She's now a pro at breaking down diaper boxes as well. In her free time, she enjoys date and movie nights with her husband, family getaways, and is also a baseball mom (which means goodbye weekends!) Despite her busy schedule, Rena always works to find time to volunteer and keep the diaper bank orders in check. |
Kinsie Flame, Community Relations
You might know Kinsie as the founder of Moms of Conejo Valley — an online Facebook group for moms that has nearly 22,000 members. Aside from managing the group (a daily feat!), Kinsie and her husband Jake own Jacob Flame's Tang Soo Do University, a karate studio in Newbury Park. When Kinsie isn't busy teaching karate or helping with diaper orders, she is out and about in the community, and is known as a Conejo Valley influencer for her informative, relatable posts about local businesses and events. In 2017, she was recognized as a 40 Under Forty recipient by the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce. Her can-do, take-charge personality is perfect for her role as our community relations director, where she leverages her community relationships to drive support and implement fundraisers. |
